No. Spy Creek Psychological Services provides psychological assessment exclusively via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth. All services are conducted remotely for individuals located in Texas at the time of evaluation.

Is telehealth psychological testing valid?

Yes. Many standardized psychological assessments can be administered via telehealth when appropriate procedures and technology requirements are met. Telehealth assessment follows professional guidelines to maintain validity and reliability.

What technology is required for telehealth testing?

Clients must have:

  • Desktop or laptop computer

  • Working camera and microphone

  • Reliable internet connection

  • Quiet, private environment

Phones and tablets are not sufficient for most psychological tests.

What types of evaluations do you provide?

Spy Creek Psychological Services provides assessment for:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ADHD

  • Psychoeducational / learning concerns

  • Cognitive functioning

  • Developmental functioning

  • Personality and emotional functioning

Do you test adults?

Yes. Evaluations are available for children, adolescents, and adults.

How long does psychological testing take?

Testing sessions typically total approximately 3.5–4 hours. Sessions may be divided across appointments depending on the evaluation and individual needs.

How much does psychological testing cost?

The comprehensive evaluation fee is $1,500. Split payment options are available. Insurance may cover medically necessary testing services. Psychoeducational testing is typically not covered because it is considered educational.

Do you accept insurance?

Spy Creek Psychological Services accepts select insurance plans for medically necessary psychological testing. Clients are responsible for verifying benefits and network status with their insurance provider.

Is psychoeducational testing covered by insurance?

Most insurance plans do not cover psychoeducational or academic evaluations because these services are considered educational rather than medically necessary.

What is included in the evaluation?

Evaluations typically include:

  • Clinical interview

  • Standardized testing

  • Scoring and interpretation

  • Comprehensive written report

  • Optional feedback session

Do you provide accommodations during testing?

Testing accommodations may be provided when clinically appropriate and consistent with standardized administration guidelines. Accommodations are discussed during the consultation.

Do you provide court or custody evaluations?

No. Spy Creek Psychological Services does not provide:

  • Competency evaluations

  • Insanity evaluations

  • Fitness-for-duty evaluations

  • Child custody or adoption evaluations

Who can receive telehealth services?

Services are available only to individuals physically located in Texas at the time of evaluation.

What if I need urgent mental health care?

Telehealth psychological testing is not appropriate for emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 911 or 988.
